How do we update manually?

I get as far as downloading and then enter password n then loading cache downloading packages and then running and then it says failed to install

Sorry for the late reply

Well I did this. Open terminal and type

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

Then I restarted to see if it worked and it worked
