Well V3 is officially broken as we wait for the new DNS server to kick in. Woo!

Well, anyone who gets unauthorized access during this time won't be seeing much. So there is one good thing from this.

So much technical jargon to think about, plan and do. I have the CDN working pretty well now, but it looks like we'll be moving V3 onto a new host; a collocated server.

Hope you're enjoying seeing the progress so far... have hit a couple snags, but I think we'll be ready to launch; possibly early.

Things take time to develop when you are doing it 100% custom.

Truth be told, when I started V3 I thought I was building a new web site. Turns out, I was way off.... I'm building a new server, a new CDN distribution mechanism, a new way to post on-demand broadcasts, a new RSS feed creation system, a new image compression algorithm, and finally, a new web site.

It's all looking to the future. Do it right, or don't do it. That's my philosophy going into V3.

So sure, it takes time to get to Phase 2, because I have to be confident that I'm "done" before Phase 2 can start. That's when you need to test everything. No point jumping the gun on Phase 2 only to get reports that "Watching episodes in a lightbox doesn't work"... well, of course... I haven't coded that yet. Phase 1 is me coding it with you watching. Phase 2 is you letting me know what I did wrong Smile
